The high resolution images these cameras produce allow fine details like number plates and facial details to be captured even when the cameras are covering large areas, significantly improving the evidential value of your surveillance.

What's the difference?

Until recently traditional 'digital CCTV' actually still uses analogue CCTV technology to capture images, digitally recorded. With this approach, the recorders used to process these images compress the image, losing important detail in the process.

If you have an existing CCTV system configured this was, you will have probably noticed this difference between your live images and the recorded images.

Apex CCTV provides truly digital systems to ensure consistency in the quality of live and recorded images, even with your existing cameras.

Whereas traditional CCTV produces images of less than half a megapixel, Apex CCTV offers multi megapixel cameras – this means better quality images with less cameras needed to cover wider areas in more detail.

IP megapixel or HD cameras are a purely digital solution, digital images are sent from the camera using either your existing or new IP network. These high resolution images are then saved to a network attached server securing your images.
